Question 1

What is an llms.txt file?

Accepted Answer

A proposed standard file that lives at yoursite.com/llms.txt and summarizes your business in plain text and markdown — built so AI assistants and LLMs can read the facts about you quickly instead of guessing.

Question 2

Will an llms.txt make ChatGPT recommend my business?

Accepted Answer

No single file guarantees recommendations. llms.txt is a proposed convention, not a requirement, but a clean factual summary gives assistants something accurate to read instead of inventing details about you.

Question 3

Is the generator really free?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Enter your site and a few facts, get the draft, copy it. No email, no account, and nothing you type is stored — the page only logs an anonymous run count.

The file AI assistants read about your business.
